Many schools & districts are constantly searching for “the next best thing” when it comes to an age appropriate, comprehensive, engaging, & meaningful programs and practices in their schools.  Whether for math, reading, behavior, or SEL, schools are constantly trying to increase the effectiveness of what they can offer in their classrooms. Most of the time, schools don’t realize the powerful tool they already have at their disposal…MOVEMENT! Recess, free play, movement breaks, physical education, & school sports are drivers of learning, regardless of content.  This session will discuss the important roles physical activity and movement play in learning and holistic development, why we should incorporate more movement into our schools, & how to best utilize these drivers to benefit the students we serve!
